Main Profile

In our SFERA application, you will find the “Main Profile” service, which is very similar in functionality and purpose to popular social networks such as Instagram and Facebook. The “Main Profile” service interacts directly with the “SFERA Feed” service. Both of these services fully encompass the functionality of a social network and are counterparts to Facebook and Instagram, but they have their unique features.

Useful, Educational Content

Useful, Educational Content

Useful, Educational Content

The first significant difference is that the “Main Profile” service, like the entire SFERA ecosystem, has the primary goal of promoting user development. This means that our social network is created primarily for useful and educational content. The second difference is that the system encourages truthfulness, openness, decent behavior, and cultural communication, often lacking in other social networks. What does this mean in practice? We do not block accounts that do not reflect the user’s real life. We do not promote content that has been heavily edited with filters and software to enhance its appearance. We do not see the need to post content that does not benefit others or does not reflect your real life (e.g., cat photos without owners, bikini photos with explicit body parts display hinting at low social responsibility, photos of weapons, violence, pranks, insults, etc.). When posting such content, three things can happen: the content may be removed, the user may be blocked, or the rating may be lowered. Let’s consume only useful content and not create fictitious personas.

Ratings and Reviews

Ratings in our SFERA mobile application, specifically in the “Main Profile” service, are a fundamental element. The higher the rating, the more favorably the system treats you. Ratings are influenced by actions you perform in the system. When publishing new content in the “Chronicle” or “Moments” section, the basic rating of the publication is set based on the information in the author’s profile. Subsequently, the rating of the publication changes depending on user reactions to it. The reaction to each publication affects both the publication’s rating and the author’s profile rating. The promotion of a publication depends directly on its rating—the higher the rating, the greater the likelihood that more users will see it.

It is important to note that our SFERA social network operates under an important rule: it is essential not only what rating a user gives but also how high the rating of the user who gives the rating is. In other words, the higher your rating, the more weight your rating carries when you rate others.

Publication Limitations

Publication Limitations

Publication Limitations

We have set a limit on the number of content publications in the “Chronicle” section of the Main Profile. This is done for two main reasons. First, we want users to publish only what is genuinely important and to consider what is best to publish. Second, it is a measure to combat unwanted spam and excessive content. The number of chronicles you can publish per week depends directly on your rating. The higher your rating, the more trust the system has in you, and the more content you can publish. However, remember that you can publish “Moments” without limitations, and in each chronicle, you can place up to 4 blocks (photos, videos, text).

Visited Countries and Geolocation

In the Main Profile of our SFERA social network mobile application, all content published by users is associated with geolocation. We do not process information about your location, do not track you, and do not share data with third parties. The geolocation attachment serves three purposes. First, it allows you to track current news in the “SFERA” feed considering the geolocation. For example, if something happens in a specific place, you can view news from that location for a particular period. The second goal is to reward users who love to travel with “badges” for each country they have visited (we encourage users to travel). And the third goal is to provide an understanding of where a specific photo or video was taken, helping to better understand the content’s essence and purpose.
