SFERA Feed is an aggregator of all content within the SFERA digital ecosystem. Primarily, the content you see in the “SFERA Feed” is content published by users in the “Main Profile” service. In the near future, “SFERA Feed” will also display content from Choose and VideoS services. In the final version, “SFERA Feed” will gather information from the entire SFERA ecosystem.

All free and without ads

The main principle for recommending content is the rating of the publication’s author and, ultimately, the rating of the publication itself. It’s essential to understand that the publication’s rating is not calculated as an arithmetic mean and heavily depends on the “weight” of the rating given by the person rating and the rating of the person receiving the rating.

Ratings are not taken into account when displaying content from authors you are subscribed to. In such cases, content is displayed chronologically. In the service settings, you can configure the display of content only from authors you are subscribed to.

In our SFERA social network, in the feed, you can configure content filtering by geolocation. This means you will view content within a certain “point” at a specific time, taking into account the publication’s rating. It’s very convenient if you want to receive news from a specific location or are interested in content close to your current location.

What kind of content does “SFERA Feed” not recommend? If the content you publish does not contribute to the development of other users and is only meant to create an impression of you, your life, and work, we recommend publishing such content with your participation. For example, if you visit mountains, publish videos or photos with yourself in the foreground, and the surroundings, mountains, and views in the background. Photos of mountains without your presence are not bad, but there are many such “pictures” on the internet, and they do not create an impression of you personally. Posts of cat, dog, and other animal photos without your presence in the photos may be deleted. The system considers that animal photos do not bring any benefit and do not reflect you as a person. The exception is content that, for example, talks about caring for animals, is dedicated to choosing a pet, or contains recommendations for pet care. Such content is considered useful and educational by the system.

Our goal is to create the “SFERA Feed” service as part of the SFERA social network (digital ecosystem), which will be beneficial to users and will not lead to degradation. We understand that providing users with “free” dopamine is the easiest way to increase user retention, but we believe it should be different. Useful content can be interesting, and social networks can and should be useful. We strive for development, we support usefulness, we are here for you.
